TreeK AJAX Diagnostics was created by admin
The information in this post is required only if problems arise with Treek (which is extremely unlikely).

If the TreeK window does not open and you see a message like:
"Unable to refresh the tree. Please refresh the page and open the tree again"

please check the following first:
1. Make sure the TreeK AJAX plugin is enabled.
In Joomla Administrator, go to:
System -> Manage -> Plugins
Find:
Treek - Add-on for Kunena Forum
and make sure it is enabled.

2. Make sure the Kunena template is switched to TreeK.
In Joomla Administrator, go to:
Components -> Kunena Forum -> Templates
Select the TreeK template and set it as the default Kunena template.

3. Clear Joomla and browser cache, then try opening the TreeK window again.

If the problem still remains, enable TreeK AJAX diagnostics.

How to enable AJAX diagnostics
1. In Joomla Administrator, go to:
System -> Manage -> Plugins
2. Open:
Treek - Add-on for Kunena Forum
3. Set:
Debug AJAX log = Yes
4. Save the plugin settings.
5. Open a Kunena topic on the frontend and click the TreeK icon once to reproduce the problem.

Where to find the log
TreeK writes AJAX diagnostics to:
administrator/logs/treek_ajax.php

If this file is not there, check Joomla's actual log folder path:
System -> Global Configuration -> System -> Path to Log Folder

Some Joomla installations use a different logs folder.
Important: treek_install.php is not the AJAX diagnostic log. It is only the installation/update log.

What to send for support
After reproducing the problem, please send the latest lines from:
treek_ajax.php

The most useful entries are usually near the end of the file and may include events such as:
request
invalid_token
bad_request
tree_error
server_error
tree_success

If treek_ajax.php is not created
The file is created only when the AJAX request reaches the TreeK AJAX plugin.
If the file does not appear after enabling Debug AJAX log and clicking the TreeK icon, this may mean that the AJAX request does not reach the plugin at all.

Possible reasons include:
- the TreeK AJAX plugin is still disabled;
- Joomla writes logs to another folder;
- the AJAX URL is wrong;
- Joomla is installed in a subdirectory and the TreeK version is older than 2.0.7.

TreeK 2.0.7 fixes AJAX URL generation for Joomla installations in a subdirectory.

After testing
Please disable diagnostics again:
Debug AJAX log = No

The debug log is only needed while investigating a problem.

⇑ About the TreeK AJAX error log treek_ajax.php
About the TreeK AJAX error log treek_ajax.php

treek_ajax.php is the TreeK AJAX diagnostic/error log. It is created only when the TreeK AJAX plugin actually runs.

To create/check the log:

1. In Joomla Administrator, open:
   System -> Manage -> Plugins -> TreeK - Add-on for Kunena Forum

2. Make sure:
   Debug AJAX log = Yes

3. Save the plugin settings.

4. Open a Kunena topic on the frontend and click the TreeK icon once.

5. Check Joomla's log folder.

The usual path is:

administrator/logs/treek_ajax.php

However, your Joomla site may use a different log folder. You can check the real path here:

System -> Global Configuration -> System -> Path to Log Folder

Please look for treek_ajax.php in that folder.

Important:

treek_install.php is not the AJAX diagnostic log. It is only the installation/update log.

Also, if the TreeK AJAX plugin access level is set to Registered and you test as a guest/public user, Joomla blocks the request before it reaches TreeK. In that case treek_ajax.php may not be created, because the TreeK plugin did not run.

For testing the AJAX log:

- set the TreeK plugin Access level to Public, or
- log in as a registered user if the plugin Access level is Registered.

Then click the TreeK icon again and check the Joomla log folder.  О журнале ошибок TreeK AJAX Treek_ajax.php
